Eukaryotic cell size

In recent years, our knowledge about how cell size affects cells increased dramatically. Cell size is not only important for fundamental processes such as biosynthesis and organelle homeostasis, but is also involved in development, senescence, and aging. In our review on eukaryotic cell size regulation and its implications for cellular function and dysfunction we try to give a broad overview.
